It is November which means Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I am going start posting a ton of recipes and seasonal holiday ideas to make this year your best Thanksgiving celebration yet!
This is a delicious and easy green bean recipe. I started making this dish a few years ago and they instantly became a family favorite. The first time I made them they were deemed the best green beans ever. When Nathan tried them he had to seriously resist himself from eating the entire pan. Because of their ease and unbelievable taste, there’s no excuse not to make them a part of your Thanksgiving spread and your families future meals all year round.
You will need:
Large bag of fresh green beans
1, 15 oz can of diced tomatoes, (I used tomatoes with garlic and basil but I usually use whatever can of tomatoes I have on hand)
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup white wine
1 teaspoon salt
A few dashes of freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
1 whole lime
Cut off the ends of green beans. Start boiling water.
Pour the green beans in water. Only semi cook green beans.
Melt entire stick of butter in large sauce pan.
Add the semi cooked green beans. Sauté for a minute or two.
Add 1 teaspoon salt.
Few dashes of freshly ground pepper.
Add 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes.
Add 1/4 cup of white wine.
Add one 15 oz can diced tomatoes.
Squeeze in the juices of one entire lime. Sauté until green beans are tender and the wine has cooked
Wow. Like REALLY good. Your house will smell like heaven!
